Scientology really gives me chills. Normally I would have written it off as another crazy cult long ago, but somehow Scientology has managed to bully it’s way into the mainstream society and stick there. Of course *most* educated people are able to see right through it for the bullshit it really is. But the fact that Scientology has attracted so many famous influential people in our country is alarming. Not that it’s not equally alarming when our nation’s policy makers eat and drink the flesh and blood of their sky god. But Scientology happened so FAST. It seems like it practically sprang up overnight! I went from never hearing the name to suddenly hearing reports about fraud, embezzlement, black mail and even murder! The secretive nature of this cult is what makes it so scary. I just feel sometime in the next few months something truly nasty and horrifying is going to surface from that organization that is going to shock the world. I just hope it’s not at the expense of too many of it’s followers..

Holy crap, I feel massively uninformed. I was under the general impression that Scientology was fairly harmless. Like, if you join you’ll lose a whole heap of cash, but I thought that was it. As far as religions causing harm go, I thought it was fairly low key.
Seriously fucking wrong. I’m shocked. This shit ought to be better publicized.
